You know it was a hard week. You don't remember why.

That's not a bad memory, it's just how memory works: the feeling sticks, the specifics don't. Vent catches the exact moment while it's still there, so you walk into therapy with the real week, not just the mood of one.

Takes two minutes. It comes straight to me.

...and then he just talked over me again.
That sounds frustrating.
Yeah. I don't even think he noticed.
What did you end up saying?

It talks back. That's the whole point.

Vent isn't a recorder waiting for you to stop. It responds while you're talking: it validates what you're feeling and asks the kind of question that keeps you going, the way a good friend would, if a good friend could also hand you the whole conversation back afterward.

You talk for as long as you need to. It won't interrupt with a suggestion, tell you what your week means, or decide who's right. That part's still yours and your therapist's.

A voice memo just sits there. This responds, and organizes what you said afterward.

A diary doesn't know what your therapist needs to hear. This is built for that handoff.

A chatbot will happily tell you what your week means. This one won't. That's not its job.

However you're feeling, wherever you are.

Walking home, still annoyed about the meeting.

In the bathroom at a family dinner, two minutes to collect yourself.

Lying awake, replaying something that won't let you sleep.

Open Vent and start talking. No setup, no picking a category, no deciding if it's "worth" recording. If something happened, that's reason enough.

calling…

One way people use it

You're at dinner and you feel yourself getting worked up. You'd already set a delay before you sat down, so a few minutes in, your phone rings right on cue — a completely normal excuse to step outside. Answer it, and you're already talking it through instead of stuck in the moment.

Three ways to look back at what you said

The summary

A short paragraph of what actually happened this week, so you're not opening five recordings trying to remember which one was about what.

The themes

Recurring threads get pulled out on their own. If the same thing with your mom comes up three times in a week, you'll see it before your therapist has to point it out.

9:41I don't even know where to start.
9:44That's the part that actually got to me.
9:46Yeah. I think that's it.

Word for word and easy to scan, so if you need the exact sentence that set you off on Tuesday, you can go find it instead of trying to remember it.

Say it while it's still true.

This is a concept I'm validating, not a live product yet. If it's interesting, tell me. If it's not, tell me that too.
